I want to serve because I believe that is not enough to give voice to problems... at some point, action needs to support our values and philosophies. I believe in the city of Akron and hope to be able to be a part of the work of realizing the many goals and initiatives in place to make greater Akron, and Summit County as a whole, better.
I aspire to serve on boards to contribute my expertise in holistic wellness and strategic human resources, fostering environments where both individuals and organizations can thrive. Through board service, I hope to gain deeper insights into community needs, expand my network, and collaborate with other leaders to drive meaningful change and empowerment for women in Greater Akron.
I am looking to gain valuable skills, to build networks and gain new experiences. I am also looking to become a pivotal part of the decision making process that strengthen and improve communities.

The opportunity to serve in this manner is essentially an extension of my current career activities which focus on business outreach for Kent State University Libraries.
I want to serve on a board to help advance meaningful work that aligns with my commitment to supporting underserved communities. Through board service, I hope to gain new perspectives, collaborate with like-minded leaders, and further develop strategies for impactful, community-driven change.
I would like to serve to gain valuable leadership experience as a young professional residing in Summit County. As a Pennsylvania native, I hope to further strengthen my sense of community in Northeast Ohio by serving on a board while offering insight based on my legal background and personal experience.
I previously served for three years on a professional board (Ohio Prospect Research Network) and enjoyed my experience but would like to transition to a board experience for a nonprofit organization. During my time on the OPRN board, I served as co-chair of the membership committee and as a member of the events committee. As I have worked in the fundraising world for 10+ years, I can bring valuable insights to a fundraising or development committee.
I hope to contribute my knowledge and understanding of community needs and assets, and also my experience engaging with a board as a non-profit staff member.
