I want to serve because I believe that is not enough to give voice to problems… at some point, action needs to support our values and philosophies. I believe in the city of Akron and hope to be able to be a part of the work of realizing the many goals and initiatives in place to make greater Akron, and Summit County as a whole, better.
Biography
I am an urban educator with a history of transformational leadership focused on college and career readiness through citizenship initiatives. I've collaborated with community partners and other stakeholders to provide students with real-world experiences and encourage community service, ensuring equitable school-community partnerships. I have a passion for traveling and learning in all avenues of life. I am also a bibliophile and avid gardener.
