Overview
I want to serve on a board that supports the education, personal, and career development of urban and marginalized youth. Growing up in Akron, OH, I understand the challenges these young people face, and I want to help guide them toward success and freedom, whatever that may mean for them. I benefited greatly from youth development programs, and I hope to have a similar impact on those who come after me. Joining a board will allow me to have a greater impact in a community that I deeply care about.
Biography
I am an administrative professional and Akron native with a strong background in journalism. I attended the University of Akron, majoring in communication studies. I used my broadcasting experience to launch my own podcast, TaeTalk, which provides a safe space for dialogue on culture, race and gender equality, and advocacy. I am seeking to connect with like-minded individuals who are willing to use their knowledge, resources, and influence to empower the next generation.
