Overview
Professionally, understanding how other organizations (outside of my own) fit into the overall social landscape of the Great Akron area would offer much needed growth and perspective. As many would attest, volunteerism feeds the soul. Currently, something I'm missing from my professional and personal life is an organization to pour myself into, which is why joining a Board is an interest of mine.
Biography
After five years with the BSA, I find myself feeling that I could do more — more for others, more for the community, and more "good" in general. Mainly, I'm seeking an opportunity with an organization that will allow me to use my passion, drive, leadership, and persistence to accomplish their big and small goals. My professional experience and soon-to-be completed MPA degree program provide me with sound knowledge and experience that could benefit other nonprofits/organizations in the Akron community.
